Jesus, our Savior, said to the unbelieving of His day- "I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins." John 8:21
You will DIE in your sins. Who dies in their sins? Those who do not believe in Him.
If you read this and possibly thought- 'I don't care if I die in my sins.' -one thing you are doing is recognizing sin existing. If you are among those that believe there is no such thing as sinning so you can't die in something that doesn't exist, then you most assuredly do not believe in Jesus Christ as your savior.
Death is something widely talked about, scarcely a single day goes by without it being mentioned at all. It's on the news, in shows and movies we watch on television, people around us speak of it, and it is something we all know is inevitable for ourselves and our loved ones.
To read that Jesus said- 'you shall seek me and shall die in your sins' is a very powerful message.
Dying in your sins when you don't have to die in your sins, is eternally tragic
We like to believe that those who seek Jesus will automatically have their sins forgiven, but that's not the case. The reasons for seeking Jesus vary, and not all people seeking Jesus are doing so because they believe in Him as their Savior and are seeking forgiveness.
Joh 8:21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
Joh 8:22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.
Joh 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
Joh 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
Jesus said- 'ye shall die in your sins; for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
Two more times … ye shall die in yours sin, ye shall die in your sins.. IF you do not believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will die in your sins.
Yesterday we talked a bit about believing in the invisible…believing in the unseen, we do it all the time yet why some choose to stop when it comes to believing in a Creator and Redeemer, I don't know. I personally can't truly comprehend the point of our lives at all if there isn't an eternal home waiting for us when Jesus returns to take us with Him. He is my HOPE. When the darkness of this world threatens to overwhelm me, the knowledge that this world ISN'T how it was supposed to be for us is what helps me get through. Knowing THIS WORLD ISN'T MY HOME, that I am only a stranger and pilgrim on this horrific, sin-filled earth allows me to endure, all through Christ.
Joh 8:25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
Joh 8:26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
Joh 8:27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
Joh 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
Joh 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
Joh 8:30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.
Believe on Him…. Believe… on … Him… He is hope eternal! Suffering is temporary, Christ is eternal!
Help us to seek the Lord with all our hearts.
Jer_29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Pro_8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
Isa_58:2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.
Seek and believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior! Don't seek Him without believing, don't seek Him to mock Him, don't seek Him and remain steadfast in your sins. Seek Him in hope of redemption, of salvation, of forgiveness, of repentance, of faith!

"We are His Offspring."
When Paul upon Mars' Hill rebuked the Athenians for their idolatry he said that God is not far from every one of us, "for in him we live, and move, and have our being." The men to whom he was speaking were heathen, yet it was just as true of them as it is of us. Then he quoted one of their own poets, who had said, "For we are also his offspring," and placed upon it the stamp of truth, by saying, "Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device." Acts 17:27-29.
Act 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Act 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
Every movement of men, and every breath, is the working of the external power of God.
Thus the eternal power and divinity of God are manifest to every man. Not that man is in any sense divine, or that he has any power in himself. Quite the contrary. Man is like the grass. "Every man at his best state is altogether vanity." Ps. 39:5. The fact that man is nothing in himself, and even "less than nothing, and vanity," is evidence of the power of God manifested in him.
God's Power in the Grass. Look at the tiny blade of grass just pushing its way through the hard ground to the sunlight. It is a very frail thing. Pull it up, and you will see that it has not power to stand alone. Even scrape the soil away from it as it stands in the earth, and it will at once lose its upright position. It depends upon the soil to hold it up, and yet it is pushing its way to the surface through that very hard soil. Dissect it as carefully as you please, and you will find nothing to indicate the possession of power. Rub it between your fingers, and you will see that there is scarcely any substance to it. It is about as frail a thing as there is in nature, and yet it will often remove quite large stones that are in the way of its growth.
Whence comes this power? It is not inherent in the grass, but is nothing less than the power of the life of God, working according to his word, which in the beginning said, "Let the earth bring forth grass."
You will DIE in your sins. Who dies in their sins? Those who do not believe in Him.
