Luk 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Luk 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
"Listen! I'm telling you that the generation I'm speaking of isn't going to pass away until every single thing I've said happens! I'm not lying to you. I'm not."
"What generation though? There have been so many that have passed. What is a generation even? I mean, is it your mom's generation? Is it my generation? Is in my kid's generation? Or is a generation something else altogether? Is it forty years? Seventy-two years? What? Why can't we know? Or is it just me who doesn't comprehend?"
"Let me put it this way. When I said that Jerusalem would be surrounded by armies, remember, I said that when they saw that happen they were to flee to get out of Jerusalem, to go. Did it happen? The people of that generation that were there when the city of Jerusalem was surrounded, did they see Jerusalem destroyed? Yes! That generation that saw that sign, the surrounding were also there to witness its destruction four years later! How could they witness it? They could be a witness because they were alive to witness what happened. They fled the city as I instructed, they got out. No, they didn't get out that very day it was surrounded. They saw Jerusalem surrounded and then not too much later the army left, just left and they were no longer being surrounded. Why do you think that is? Why? Because it's what I ordained to happen. They saw the armies ready to destroy Jerusalem, and then they saw them go away. What do you think they did when they saw Jerusalem was no longer surrounded?"
"They were happy, of course. I'm sure they didn't want to be killed."
"Yes, that's true, but what else?"
"I don't know."
"Think about it, I told them to get out of Jerusalem if they saw that happen, remember?"
"Oh yeah! So they left right? They saw it and got out."
"That's exactly what they did, all that believed my words they got out of Jerusalem as fast as they could even though it meant leaving everything they knew, their work, friends, family, homes, everything."
"Where'd they go?"
"Various places, other cities, villages. They went there and had to start over, it wasn't easy for them at all."
"I bet they were glad they did it though, that they listened to you."
"Yes, and no. I mean, not at first. A lot of them got really upset because they thought they got out in the nick of time, that the armies were going to return any day. You don't know how many of their friends, family, and co-workers laughed at them for running away when nothing happened for four years. Four long years. A week went by and they didn't feel too bad, then a month, and then half a year. A year after they left everything behind to leave the city as told to, well, they were quite confused. You see, people always expect things to be the way they imagine fast, slow, they think it, and when it doesn't happen they get upset. Well, for four years they were living their new lives, forging ahead making new friends, getting new jobs, making new homes. No, they couldn't have their families with them that chose to stay, but they chose to listen to me, most of them. I'd love to say they all remained but some did go back to Jerusalem when the armies didn't come right away, and still a few more after a year and so on. But those who really believed what I said didn't go back and yes, they were very, very happy when four years later Jerusalem was totally destroyed. However, they were also mourning the loss of everything there too. Friends and family that didn't listen, they all died, all of them, every last one not a single one survived that destruction."
"Wow, I mean, they all would have died if they didn't listen, and keep on listening."
"Yes, they would have."
"So, you're saying that we have to be the same way? But there have been so many generations of people, so many, thousands of years have passed since these prophecies were given. For them it was just thirty-seven years from about when you gave that prophecy."
"I gave a prophecy for your generation too."
"You did, but it's all messed up. I mean we just can't know anything about the end, not really, right?"
"Wrong. I told them when they saw something they were to act and they did. I didn't tell them the year or day or anything, just what to watch for. I've told you the same."
"Yes, and no. You told us lots of stuff that has had to happen over two thousand years! So, what about us? Did you know that ever since you left every generation has believed you were going to return in their time? Why is that? That doesn't make easy for us to know when you're really returning, does it?"
"Ha, and what would have happened if any generation didn't believe I was coming in their time? Think about it."
"I don't know, maybe they wouldn't worry so much about how they were living until they were old, or something?"
"People from every generation, the one I lived in until the one I return in, all of them need to be ready for me at any time because if they died, if they fell into their death's sleep, without being ready for me what do you think would happen?"
"Well, they wouldn't be yours, they wouldn't know you and you wouldn't know them, right?"
"Right. And no matter how many people want to believe that everyone in the world for all time are going to be mine, that's not true. My sheep hear my voice and follow me, all those sheep who do not hear my voice and follow me, they'll be lost. It breaks my heart, every lost sheep is a sheep I cry over, but they choose….they choose."
"Yeah, they choose. I mean, we choose. So, getting back to you returning."
"There are two particular prophecies that I'm gonna point out for you. One, 'the times of the gentiles being fulfilled', that began to happen in 1948, and I carried on with the signs that it was happening, a big sign came in 1967, and another in 1980. Jerusalem was under the control of the gentiles, but in 1948, a war happened and the Jewish people began to take control back of the land of Israel. There was a six day war in 1967 that really got Jerusalem back. And, by 1980 they did something really important, they moved their government to Jerusalem, it became their capital."
"This means that….wait what was the prophecy about that?"
"It was one of the signs of my return, the end of the world nearing."
"And that prophecy was fulfilled in 1980, forty-three years ago?"
"Yes."
"Wow."
"Yes, wow."
"What is the other thing, you said you were going to talk about two prophecies."
"There's another one about Jerusalem as well, and it talks of an evil force being able to infiltrate the city of Jerusalem, it's much more involved though an if you really want to know more about it…"
"I do!"
"Well, it'll have to be another day and you'd have to commit to a lot of study, real study not just easy stuff. I'll need you to go through history and all sorts of stuff, being willing to let the Holy Spirit guide you to the truth- coming without preconceived notions about anything."
"I want to know this, I do. If it has to do with my generation and your returning, I want to know."
"Yes, it has to, you see… that prophecy that was fulfilled in 1980, it also stated that that generation wouldn't die off, that I would return before they all did. So what does that tell you?"
"Wait, what?! If I was born in 1980, forty-three years ago my entire generation wouldn't die off before you return?! You're going to return sometime in the next, oh, let's say… the average person lives to 75ish… so approximately in the next thirty-two years?"
"Sometime in there, yes, that generation will not pass… just as those who saw the armies surround Jerusalem, their generation didn't pass until they saw the armies return and destroy Jerusalem. They had a precursor prophecy to the prophecy's fulfillment. Remember, these words of mine--
32Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
34And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
"Don't let the day come with you unaware, please. It's like a snare for so many because they aren't watching and praying, they aren't watching the signs be fulfilled, not really. Do you know what a snare is? It's a hidden trap, it's not something easily discerned for the average person. Only those skilled in knowing what to look for can detect the hidden snares, not those who are just walking along unconcerned, those are the ones caught in the snare- unready, not prepared, trapped. The snare is there for the entire world population, all of them, you included. So, are you watching? Are you praying? So you aren't caught in the snare? Only those who are watching and praying will escape it. Watch, pray that you are counted worthy to escape all the things that will occur at the very end, all the horrors those will endure who are not mine. I want you to stand before me, I want you in heaven with me, I want you to meet me in the air when I return."
"I want that too, so much, so very much! By your grace and mercy, please, I want to be yours!"
"Then you will be mine."
